Who Is Perfect, Forever?

Posted by admin on August 28, 2017 in Uncategorized with No Comments

I was hoping somebody would put up a similar post, but I guess I have to do this; as much as I really dislike political comments on social media. It is madness. I read that the town of Delaware will be digging up the bones of a half dozen Confederate soldiers and throwing their remains into a nearby lake. I doubt if those soldiers could have told you what the war was about. Soldiers answer a call to protect freedom, and they never know the corrupt political maneuvers that caused the conflict. Digging up bones is of the same mindset that produced Andersonville and Sherman’s March. It takes us back to Valley Forge where those who ‘gave the last full measure of devotion’ obviously did so in vain. Today’s protestors probably know less about what the Civil War was about that the Confederates who died in Delaware. I will not try to explain it here, but I have one question: Do you think the slave markets in New York City, Philadelphia and other northern ports catered to slave owners in the South. Slavery was no confined to the South. The Southern slaves were set free after the war, but the last slaves set free were in Brooklyn, Connecticut and New Jersey. We tend to change history to make a story that we are more comfortable with. We do the same with our heroes, only to be disappointed when the truth comes out. Our heroes are only people and they all have human frailties of character, imperfections that can overshadow their heroics. If I stood before your statue could there be something in your past that would tarnish your image. I personally have been blessed with adoration among people I have helped, but my closet is filled with things I have said and done that would ruin my image if they were known. Hate, anger and fear are the tools of the corrupt and politically powerful. We have seen the power of nonviolence and we are witnessing the destruction of mob violence. Do you want your life to mean something you can be proud of? Attack slavery. Drugs have enslaved almost every community in this country. Our children are being killed by the drugs and the violence of those who sell it. Tearing down a statue does not change the world or alter history. As a nation we have committed many sins, genocide and slavery are only two. We cannot change what was done, and violence does not keep it from happening again. In fact, it only perpetuates it. As long as we react to the hate, anger and fear we are being fed by the corrupt manipulators we are all slaves to our ignorance. Smashing store fronts and throwing bricks at the base of an empty pedestal will never improve the world. It only enhances the powers of hate, anger and fear.

Caricatures

I am not political because I really do not believe that politics can solve problems. Yes government can solve some problems and sometimes it stumbles into a consensus that allows it to happen. Mostly politics is “who will control the applecart” and neither side wants to upset the applecart, just control it. Control the applecart and you have access to power and wealth. The zeal of gaining or keeping control has led to some serious splits in our country as we have all been pitted against each other in many ways. To maintain the divide and hold on to the power our political factions have reduced their opposition to caricatures. Surfing the Sunday morning talk shows the left is talking about a right that is the caricature of the right it created, and the right is talking about a left that is similarly imagined to be something that it is not. For sure – the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing, or even talking about. Our healing and reunification will come when we stop trying to talk to the caricatures we have invented and realize we all really want the same things. All we have to do is cooperate in making them happen outside politics. Dialogue begins when we stop fearing the fictitious caricatures we have created of each other.

Standing Rock

If I were younger, I would be there. I am there in Spirit. I never thought Waco would happen. I never thought Kent State would happen. They did happen and so did Wounded Knee and the Trail of Tears. The indigenous people know more about life that the secular materialists who are opposing them. We should all be listening to the elders and the grandmothers, The largest gathering of this kind in history should have some meaning. This is not Woodstock people. If we don’t stop it now we may well see the final threads of American genocide as our government forcibly breaks another treaty

God Is Not A Super Hero

There is a young woman named, Jenifer with a stage four cancer…..I have joined a prayer chain for her.  When you see a beautiful young woman who has lost her hair and is going through the struggle to live many would ask, “How can God let that happen?”  God didn’t let it happen – we did:

We’ve thrown beer cans in the river, and put power lines overhead.

Our lakes are getting greener and the fish are floating dead.

There goes a load of concrete to pave another street.

Won’t be long before there’s no ground beneath our feet.

We call it progress.

We came upon God’s green Earth to plunder and deface,

and when we’re finished here on Earth we’ll foul up outer space.

Strip mine on the mountain cut down all the trees.

Make ‘em into paper for blowing in the breeze.

The litter bags are empty in all our smoky cars.

Our trails are blazed with wrappers from our plastic candy bars.

We call it progress…

We did it. God did not call a prophet to the mountain to give out the formula for polyvinyl chloride – plastic is man-made. So are the phthalates that contaminate everything from teething rings to IV bags.

God did not invent DDT, Agent Orange and Roundup – or any of the other more than 500 toxic substances listed by the EPA as a cause for cancer that are still permitted to be used in essential products we need every day. God did not go into the pharmaceutical board rooms to point out that there is more money in treating than in curing. God never said that taking genes from a frog and putting them in a potato would improve agriculture.  Above all God did not give us the dogmatic neo-Darwin materialistic paradigm that we have allowed to distort our laws, our science, our education and our very concept of reality. We did this. God is not a Super Hero who is supposed to swoop in and save us from the consequences of our choices.  God will help us heal ourselves and our planet, but until we change our priorities we will remain the invasive species. We are our greatest threat to health and life.

Some Things That Bother Me

  1. It bothers me that the government that tolerated the decadence and filth of the Occupy Wall Street protest and even tried to sneak it into history as something important and spontaneous, is the same government that is trying to breakup the Standing Rock protest. It also bothers me that the news organizations are going from panel to panel repeating the same meaningless dialogue for hours on end like there are issues in the presidential campaigns worth talking about, and totally ignoring the largest gathering of indigenous people in the history of the world. It really bothers me too that my government appears to be in position for another Waco. #

The Race Nobody Wins

Posted by admin on October 19, 2016 in Uncategorized with No Comments

On our planet there is only one race – the human race. Too be a racist one has to be stupid enough to follow a religion or political belief that divides us in hopes of validating a concept of superiority. Give it up! There is one life on this Earth and it is all part of the Consciousness of a Creator who intends peace and harmony. We share that consciousness and that life. Racism is nowhere in our DNA. It is an acquired trait. Indeed, a mutation and a primitive expression of stupidity. Leadership that does not bring us together in the intended harmony is not leadership. It is self-serving deception.

Politics Is the Problem, Not the Answer

Posted by admin on October 4, 2016 in Uncategorized with No Comments

Watched most of the Vice Presidential Debate tonight 10/4/16. I am more convinced that ever before that politics as we know it cannot solve our problems. In deed, I am more convinced that ever that politics as we know it is the cause of most of our problems. Ronald Reagan was one of the best politicians of current history because he was by far the best actor. Politics has a way of defining problems and promising a remedy that never materializes. It is all an act, a promise and clever manipulation of our limbic and parietal lobes. The fact that two people who are wealthy by questionable means are our chosen candidates for our two party system when the polls clearly show that the people do not trust them should tell us something about the state of our union. For most it is not a question of whom to support. It is a question of which candidate to vote against. Neither is desired by a clear majority. Hillary has the support of many just because they want a woman president. Maybe the system demands a woman who knows how to play dirty to be one to crack the ceiling. Voters who are considered right of center are embarrassed by Trump who verbalizes the ponderings of a twelve year old rich kid bully. Top members of the GOP have either turned their back on Trump or given up their self respect to keep the oath of loyalty to the party. Actually, things probably will not change that much with either of them in the oval office. Politics will continue to create problems it can never solve, and people without power will find the strength to be moral and keep the world from falling apart by living their faith.

I am not a political person, and truly believe that it is far too late in time to solve problems with politics. Perhaps our problems are indeed caused by politics. I have no comment on the “Jobs, jobs, jobs” situation and frankly see a vivid comparison between the partisan posturing in Washington and the World Wrestling Federation, loads of threats and choreographed conflicts with no real change and more of the same problems.

As a natural health consultant and spiritual coach I am qualified to comment on some of the unreported developments of the day: Criminalization of natural products and jailing people for selling raw milk are only two examples. Now it appears the FDA is preparing to twist an interpretation of the very law that protects the right to sell and use dietary supplements to virtually shut down the natural food sector with foolish regulations. Even a casual observation will show that more and more over the counter pharmaceutical products are repackaged products from the health food stores. Glucosamine/chondroitin, Omega 3 oil, St John’s Wort, 5-HPT and acidophilus are a few examples of natural products that are being packaged as over the counter pharmaceuticals. A similar casual observation reveals that the FDA is not only a revolving door for the industry it is supposed to regulate, it is also a marketing “bitch” for the pharmaceuticals. Of course, they want to ban a product that can help us stay healthy for a few cents in favor of repackaging the same product as a “scientific wonder” for big bucks. Health is not complicated; nutrition, love and gratitude. Health is also inexpensive. Treating illness is an industry that is threatened by health, natural health. There is little we can do in the political arena to stop the monsters that control it, but it is liberating to let those who are misusing the powers of the beast know that we are not fooled. Our best hope for survival is in prayer and meditation. The world becomes what we believe.

Sunshine Vitamin or Drug?

Posted by admin on July 31, 2011 in Uncategorized with No Comments

Perhaps the most convincing proof of the effectiveness of dietary supplements for maintaining health and in some cases curing disease conditions is the obvious trend among the Big Pharma giants that are packaging supplements as drugs. This could also explain why the FDA and the Congress are testing the waters for new regulations that would virtually shut down most supplement processors. It is not “if you can’t beat ‘em join ‘em,” it is if you can’t shut them down, take them over.

One of the first was the marketing of Omega 3 fish oil as a drug. It has proved effective for coronary health and control of triglycerides. But as an expensive drug, it is no better than the inexpensive fish oil supplements. Actually, the supplement combinations of 3-6-9 oils are more effective at a fraction of the cost. One of the newer entries is the introduction of Vitamin D3 as a drug. As reported by NaturalNews.com:

Biopharmaceutical giant Rockwell Medical recently announced that it has acquired a US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for a generic, injectable form of vitamin D called Calcitriol, that it openly refers to as a “drug.”

Marketed under several brand names including Rocaltrol (Roche), Calcijex (Abbott), and Decostriol (Mibe, Jesalis), Calcitriol is really nothing more than vitamin D3, or 1,25-dihydroxycholecalciferol, that has been placed in a syringe with sterile fluids and other additives. And yet Rockwell Medical, as well as various medical information sources, refer to Calicitriol as a “drug,” which is why Rockwell Medical obtained an ANDA in the first place.

Good dietary supplements are not cheap, but they work; unlike some expensive medications that have more negative side effects than positive effects on a condition. I will be the first to say that medications can save your life and if you are hit by a truck go to emergency, not a health food store. Both supplements and medication have their place in our lives. The medication that saves your life today, can threaten it tomorrow with continued us. Supplements are mostly as benign as food with few side effects. I believe that if the government would allow us to at least deduct for our supplements we would see the total cost of health care decline. Actually, if the government made supplements free and health care practitioners knew how to administer them, we would eliminate a greater percent of the public cost of healthcare. Yes, free supplements would save the government money.

This trend of Big Pharma rebranding supplements as drugs will drive up the cost of supplements, if the regulators allow them at all. Secondly, there is the basic misunderstanding of supplements. Drugs are designed with a chemical formula, and they cause chemical reactions in the body. Most supplements work energetically as they are assimilated into the body. Chemistry controls symptoms. Energy heals. Will supplements as drugs be made into chemical formulas that will no longer be energetically effective?

The Criminalization of Natural Products

Posted by admin on June 7, 2011 in Uncategorized with No Comments

I took note of a couple of things that have taken place recently and found myself deeply disturbed. First, the German government admitted that the E Coli scare that has held headlines for the past few days did not originate on organic sprouts. Anybody with knowledge of food and bacteria knows that E Coli develops in and is hosted by animals. When vegetables carry E Coli it is because they have been contaminated by animal waste matter, usually from the water they are exposed to before or after harvest. The German government admitted that it was an attempt to discredit organic farmers and organic food. I can remember when releasing  false information to the public was called propaganda. Why would a government want to protect people from organic food? Does that help justify looking the other way for years while toxic chemicals have been adulterating the food supplies of the world? Does the word “organic” set off the reptilian brain of bureaucracy and throw it into the protection mode. Obviously they are so sure they are right and that we need protection that they will lie to make it so.

The second incident took place much closer to home when the FDA sent armed agents to raid and shut down a facility making concentrated Elderberry juice on the grounds the company had made health claims. Actually several months ago the FDA sent the company a letter about health claims. The company hired a consultant familiar with FDA policy and rewrote the product description. The company thought that was the end of the matter. Then the FDA swat team arrived. Reminds me of an incident a few years ago when in a similar action the FDA seized and burned books about the natural sweetener, Stevia.

Propaganda, book burning and surprise raids by armed agents. Natural living is getting more  challenging every day. Decriminalize addictive drugs and criminalize organic and natural remedies. Insane! Hey, what about this? Let’s make the FDA responsible for policing illegal drugs. Of course there is always the possibility of the dealers telling the FDA its OK, and then no action would be taken against them – just like the pharmaceutical  medications that kill more than 100,000 people each year. The FDA says they are safe because the dealers said so.
